Koala was moving into homewares, starting with a new range of rugs. Without a showroom, they needed to get them underfoot with journalists in a way that showed off the product - but also aligned with their sustainable mission.
So why not combine two Aussie icons? Koala themselves, and the ugg boot. Working with a local Sydney shoemaker, 200 pairs were made, putting rug manufacturing offcuts to good use and creating a headline generating campaign that literally let journalists walk a mile on the Koala rug.
